Exercises to Increase Vertical Leap

Height is a great factor in success in sports like football or volleyball. Bit do you know that there are guys who are like only 5’5” tall who can dunk? You ask me how this is possible? These guys have developed their skill in high vertical leap.

For a properly rounded-out vertical jump training regimen, you need to make sure your diet includes a balanced protein/calorie ratio. Also when thinking of the proper dietary intake, a gradual approach to making any dietary changes will greatly help too.

Otherwise you’ll pay for it with a sense of sluggishness and you won’t be motivated. This also ensures lean muscle gains, which also means that you’ll get higher jumps.

Ankle Bounces
This exercise simply requires you to bounce on your toes about 40-50 times.

Box Jumps
Stand in front of a tall box and jump up on top of it. Repeat this exercise about 10 times.

Rim Jumps
Stand underneath a basketball hoop and repeatedly try to jump up and touch the rim.

Standing Broad Jump
Stand in a normal, straight up position and then jump out as far as you can, landing with both feet at the same time.

There are a number of ab exercises, which will prove to be beneficial in training the abdominal muscles. When you are doing these exercises, you will also have to make it a point to train the obliques. You can do the best waist exercises for the same.
