Height is a great factor in success in sports like football or volleyball. Bit do you know that there are guys who are like only 5’5” tall who can dunk? You ask me how this is possible? These guys have developed their skill in high vertical leap.

If you want strength as well as speed and are looking to increase your vertical jump at home, sprinting is one of the best options. It gives strength and explosion needed for a vertical leap.

Do short bursts of 10 yard dash, four times, touching the ground after those 10 yards. This will be a single set. This can be done in 3 sets 3 times a week initially and then increased gradually, the frequency and not the distance.

Develop training goals. a lot of people will agree that to know whether you have arrived at the right destination, you must be sure of where you were going. Well, that is what goals are all about.

You must have clear goals on what you want to achieve and by when do you what to achieve your goals if you want to see any benefits from your vertical leap training. Follow it diligently and with laser like precision.

Jumping rope really works well. Be sure to jump from your toes as this will work your calf muscles.
